Are you looking for new ways to practice mindful awareness as you create?

If your answer is YES then join me for a week of intentionally being playful, connecting with yourself and learning new art processes along the way.

As an expressive arts facilitator and art teacher, I love sharing fun and simple art techniques. I also honor the value of PLAY as essential to life. With that in mind, I have created art processes that will help you explore, discover, and delight as you play with art materials, metaphors, and modalities.

Are you a beginner? Then you're in the right place! If you're not sure how to use art materials or you would like to play along, this series is perfect for you.

This is a time to use art materials to practice mindfulness, relax, and enjoy the process.

What you'll experience

Mindful Art Play Days is a LIVE event that will take place in a closed group on Facebook. (If you can't make it live, don't worry! The sessions will be recorded and available for 30 days).
Each session will follow a theme. We will explore the theme with some gentle movements to get warmed up (nothing too strenuous or complicated), then work mindfully with visual art materials, and finally write a few words.
We'll use a variety of visual art materials including watercolors, colored pencils, crayons, permanent pens, and oil pastels.
There will be an introduction to intermodal expressive arts in simple ways.
We'll invite your inner critic to take some time off as we try something new.

"Tamara and Kathleen of Expressive Arts Florida Institute are inspiring teachers and worthy guides dedicated to sharing the riches and magic of the expressive arts with others."
